What the free plugin provides, what is planned for the desktop app, and what to compare before choosing.
Free plugin, paid app
The E2C plugin is free. The desktop app is the paid product. The plugin is not a paid subscription or simply a trial that requires the app. This policy is separate from availability: a free product is not necessarily available to install yet.
What the plugin provides
The current E2C plugin provides method guidance for an AI agent.
It is a collection of Skills, not an independent engine that executes work, and installing it does not guarantee a correct result.
A public installation route and the version available through it have not been confirmed.
What is planned for the app
The desktop app is intended to provide the fuller paid E2C service. Its additional capabilities, supported ways of working, and how existing work could carry over from the plugin are still being defined. The paid form should be judged by what it actually adds.
Choosing between the two
Choose on the basis of the work each released version supports, the requirements it places on your environment, and what you can carry forward. That comparison is not yet complete. Product concepts do not mean that both forms offer every capability shown or that you must use them together.
