Understanding usage
What can change Codex usage, how E2C may affect the work performed, and how to make a useful comparison.
Usage reflects the work performed
A higher or lower usage figure does not, on its own, show that E2C helped or hindered the task. Inputs, task complexity, model choice, execution steps, retries, and checks can all change how much work the execution service performs.
Separate usage from pricing
The provider determines its metering, allowances, and charges. E2C's methods and organization may influence the steps taken, so usage is not necessarily independent of E2C. The provider's usage charges and E2C's product fees remain separate.
Make a useful comparison
Compare similar goals, inputs, models, and completed work using the task and account information available to you. Extra checks or repeated attempts may explain a change. Lower usage is not an improvement if necessary work was skipped; higher usage alone does not show useful progress.
No fixed saving is promised
E2C has not established a fixed percentage saving or increase in execution usage, or an included third-party allowance. Available usage displays and billing details depend on the supported connection and service. A specific cost claim would need evidence under comparable conditions.
