Understanding the desktop app
Why an installed E2C app could be useful, which platforms are planned, and what remains to be confirmed.
Planned platforms and availability
The desktop app is planned for Windows and macOS as the fuller paid E2C product. Direct downloads, the Mac App Store, and Microsoft Store are being considered. These are planned channels, not available downloads or approved listings; supported operating-system versions still need confirmation.
What installation should make possible
An installed app could bring E2C's methods, supporting programs, and compatible dependencies together in your authorized working environment. The reason to install it would be the useful work that combination supports. Its specific capabilities still need confirmation; download size alone says little about its value.
Where the work and data go
A desktop app can still use a remote execution or model service. Local processing and sending information to a service are separate questions, and both browser and desktop products can combine local and remote components. A desktop window alone does not establish greater speed, reliability, or privacy.
Requirements before you choose
The app's capabilities, system requirements, installation size, resource use, permissions, and update process have not been finalized. These details will matter when deciding whether it fits your work. Any performance comparison needs evidence from the actual product under stated conditions, rather than an assumption about plugin size or desktop software.
